ACTIVITY
Existing path to Giants' Graves was built about 2005 and a combination of heavy footfall, mountain bikes & occasional motorbikes together with regular heavy rainfall had led to severe erosion. Forestry and Land Scotland wanted to repair this erosion and put in place an upland-style path which should withstand public and weather pressure.
OUTCOME
The Arran Trust offered support to repair erosion damage & to construct a path which will better withstand heavy public use & severe rainfall. FLS would oversee the project which will benefit Arran residents and visitors who will be able to use the improved path, better suited to usage and weather, to a very popular destination.
