ACTIVITY
Carn Ban is a scheduled ancient monument in the care of Historic Scotland and is a ‘Clyde’ cairn, a type of long cairn unique to the Clyde and south-west Scotland. The path to it has been difficult due to windblow or clearfelling for many years. Building a new path from the end of the existing forest road will provide recreational access to Carn Ban chambered cairn.
OUTCOME
The support from Arran Trust has provided a quality path giving better access to an important monument.
