The Arran Access Trust aims to provide, maintain and improve access opportunities on Arran, which will allow both visitors and residents to enjoy access on Arran, whilst avoiding damage to the environment At present the stunning section of coastline  between Cordon to Kingscross is only accessible during low tide. This new path from Cordon to the Ardlui track will link Lamlash and Whiting Bay and completely avoid theMain Road.

Outcome

The funding from the Arran Trust has allowes this new section of path to be built  which will benefit both visitors and residents as the improved Coastal Way will make this a stand alone easy half-day walk which not only means that they will avoid the road but will no longer miss out on this strech of beautiful Coastline giving them a more enjoyable and positive experience.

The funding from the Arran Trust has allowed the project to create jobs, including Trainee jobs or the residents.
