ACTIVITY: The History of the Villages on Arran is a small booklet compiled by members of Arrans institutes and the Arran Federation in 1975 for the SWI Federation's Golden Jubilee. It was revised and extended into a book in 1983 and again in 2002. The final printing was sold-out in 2024. The SWI wanted to reproduce an updated version and the revised book is to commemorate the SWI Federation's Centenary in 2025.
OUTCOME: The Arran Trust awarded £2000 towards the production of a new book containing the best of the original history of Arran's villages with an update on more recent changes.
