21st Ayrshire Cub Scouts Lend a Hand on Arran

ACTIVITY
The cubs will work with the Rangers up at NTS Brodick Castle in cutting back Rhododendron bushes and clear the undergrowth. This will in turn allow the regeneration of the flora and fauna. The cubs will also carry out other work if and as required by the Rangers.
OUTCOME
By introducing the Cubs to Arran it will help the young people involved improve their leadership and communication skills as well as their confidence. They will have to learn team work and the importance of caring for the environment while improving a well know visitor attraction which will benefit visitors and locals alike.
The 21st Ayrshire cubs are grateful to the Arran Trust for their support which has helped to make this trip possible.
